ARIES GIRL

Over Christmas I read this adorable little novel, Rules for Saying Goodbye, by the equally adorable Katherine Taylor, both of which I became smitten with immediately. The novel features an Aries girl protagonist. Aries women are independent, feisty and courageous; they thrive on adventure and challenge so faint of heart men with fragile egos need not apply. One of their more endearing qualities however is their fierce loyalty and devotion to their loved ones. I love Aries girls!!

Some examples of the protagonist Katherine's Aries spirit are her numerous coming of age experimentations, her entertaining road trip with her mother Elizabeth Taylor to see Mount Rushmore, and her attempt at mountain climbing in Europe. You must read the book!!

I was so inspired by it that I wrote not one, but two songs for Ms. Taylor. After I wrote the first one called "Goodbye Katherine Goodbye" I decided that I had to write another one called "Hello Katherine Hello" because hello is always happier than goodbye.

As I mentioned earlier, the solar eclipse occurred precisely on my 17 Aquarius Venus-Mercury conjunction. Venus is symbolic of love, Mercury is symbolic of writing and Aquarius is symbolic of computers as well as the unusual so it makes sense that I would present an unusual love song over the internet on this Valentines Day. Venus rules my 10th house of public persona and career as well as my 6th house of the work place proper. Writing these songs and this article is in perfect accord with the eclipse on my natal Venus.

Mercury rules my 7th house of partnerships and co-rules my 9th house of publishing so the 9th house symbolism makes sense and as usual we're still waiting (perhaps in vain) on the 7th. My good friend and Astrologer April Elliot Kent reminded me to be patient with the eclipse and wait for transiting Venus to activate the eclipse point. My Moon is in Aries so it's hard for me to be patient, I fall in love so easily, and of course I just adore Aries girls!!
