BE JON'S ASTROLOGER

So I'm sitting here looking at my chart and contemplating my future, and I realize that it is truly impossible to read one's own chart objectively. So I've decided to ask for some help from my loyal readers. I wrote an article a while back called "Timing Big Change with Astrology." I must admit I cringe a little bit now in retrospect. (I'm a few months more mature now.) It sounds arrogant to me now, my declaration: "this is how big change is timed." But, the core of what I was saying remains true: transits, solar arcs, and secondary progressions, when they make hard angles (conjunction, opposition and square) to the chart angles, it really does indicate periods of big change.

The Measurements

Let's do a quick review to get you started. Looking at my transits, secondary progressions and solar arcs for the month of February, we see a number of measurements moving into exactness. First of all, we check solar arcs to angles and vice versa and that comes up negative at this time; but we do see an important solar arc Saturn=Venus-Mercury becoming exact in February. Saturn on Venus could indicate loneliness and suppressed emotions, or more positively, a mature and enduring love. Saturn over Mercury could indicate depression or disciplined thinking. So we do have a background solar arc to consider.

Let's look at the transits. First, we check Pluto because it is the slowest moving planet and the most powerful force for transformation. We see right away it's on my first house Mars (ruler of my 4th) and exactly square my MC/IC axis. My goodness this is a big change period!! My status or career (MC) and my private home life are being transformed.

Next, we check Neptune and we see that it is about 3 degrees past an exact conjunction with my Venus-Mercury conjunction in the second house. So for all intents and purposes, we can probably safely ignore Neptune already knowing that this a Plutonian time.

Next, let's look at Uranus. Holy smokes, it is right on my third-house Jupiter (the ruler of my Ascendant) and square my Ascendant/Descendant axis. A fortune teller would predict a sudden change (Uranus) in fortune (Jupiter) in third house and Piscean matters. The contact with the Ascendant suggests intense individuation, radical change in personal style and probably some sort of rebellion against the status quo. The contact with the Descendant suggests instability in relationships, but also the possibility for unusual and exciting relationships. Uranus is usually considered the ruler of astrology, and being that I'm astrologer, this is probably an important time for me. This is the third and final pass for this transit, so hopefully Uranus is saving the best for last.

Now let's check the secondary progressions (SP). We see the all-important secondary progressed Moon moving into a conjunction with natal Saturn. This automatically makes this month extra important. The last time the SP Moon moved into a conjunction with my natal Saturn was September 1980 exactly when I started kindergarten. Could this pass indicate another new beginning?

We also see SP Venus moving into an exact square with my natal Mars. Anytime Venus and Mars get together things start to sizzle, hot, hot, hot. The solar (New Moon) eclipse on February 7th is precisely on my Venus-Mercury conjunction. Hope stays alive!! Hopefully Saturn doesn't dowse the flames.

The Rules

That's the outline of astrological events and now I defer to you to fill in the details. Please write a few paragraphs (no more than two pages) giving me advice on how best to handle these measurements and any other measurements that you would add that I didn't cover.

Feel free to use all your astrological expertise, or have fun and go with your intuition. All entries will be totally appreciated! And it will be a great way for me to "meet" my readers, which I will enjoy very much. At the end of your reading, please make a prediction for me. Will Jon get rich? Will Jon fall in love? Will Jon get his heart broken? Will Jon run away to Europe? Of course you are free to be more practical with your prediction as well. So join the fun!
