ASTROLOGY ARTICLES BY JON The Last Waltz with PlutoSo I'm dancing with Pluto again! The last direct pass over my Mars will be in about 10 days and the last pass to square my Midheaven will be in December, so I've been thinking about Pluto a lot. Most of it's been internal, all the stuff they say about fate, transformation and healing rings very true, I've had thoughts and dreams lately that should only be repeated at a therapist office or in an R- or X-rated movie, it's intense. And my realty is also changing. It's hard at first because your initial instinct is to hide and let it pass; but sooner or later, you realize these winds of change are for the better because they are guiding you towards a more authentic life. I guess Pluto really is all about destiny (better word than fate), transformation and healing. So tonight I was watching the Band's farewell concert, The Last Waltz, recorded November 25, 1976, enjoying a couple of beverages and contemplating Pluto, when I decided to look at the Band's leader Robbie Robertson transits for this concert that cemented his legacy. I've been noticing for a while now that whenever somebody comes into prominence or creates a piece of work that is of great magnitude, transcends time, and reaches a mass audience, Pluto is usually involved. And sure enough, transiting Pluto was squaring his Sun at the time of this concert — a time of intense personal transformation, but also a creative peak. And in the interviews during the movie, he talks about 16 years on the road being too long and it was time to move on to the next phase of his life. I'm sure he was under a tremendous amount of internal pressure under this transit and that forced this huge change, but it also created something magical that affected a lot of people and will surely out live him. He also said that everything magically fell into place that night. So when you're dancing with Pluto, be prepared to have your toes stepped on, but by the end of night the two of you just may have created some real magic together. |
