HOWARD STERN AND ROBIN QUIVERS:
SOULMATES AT WORK

Howard Stern tied the knot for the second time in his life when he married his longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky on October 3, 2008 at Le Cirque restaurant in Manhattan. In this article, though, I wanted to focus on the relationship between Howard and his "on-air wife" Robin Quivers — a professional relationship that has lasted for 27 years. So let's take a look at the astrology of Howard Stern and Robin Quivers.

In Howard's chart we see the ambitious Sun in Capricorn in the far reaching ninth house conjunct Venus, Mercury, North Node and Chiron. All this energy to achieve (Capricorn planets) is directed into 9th house matters such as publishing and other mass media outlets. These Capricorn planets are opposed by shocking Uranus in the third house of communication. Uranus also rules his Aquarius Midheaven so this is an apt astrological description of his "shock jock" reputation.

The Moon in security oriented Taurus is tucked away in the very private 12th house, and Howard when he's not working is extremely private. Pluto in the 4th house describes the early childhood difficulties that fuel his creativity. Mars-Saturn in Scorpio in, the 6th house of work lend support (Sextile) to his Capricorn planets, this is a really hard working guy.

Robin's chart shows the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Pluto in Leo and this is the performer, her vital energy is directed towards getting attention (Queen Complex). But there is a private counterpoint to her as well with her Moon in compassionate and service oriented Pisces. And also Mars in Scorpio in the 4th house (ruling the 10th) square the Leo planets shows the difficulties in her early home life that fuel her professional drive and creativity.

Howard and Robin's Soulmate Indicators

Let's look for the strong soulmate indicators that I talked about previously in Are We Soulmates. The Angles, the Nodes, and Sun-Moon contacts are the most important. Right away, we see that Robin's Ascendant at 6 Leo 53 is conjunct Howard's IC at 7 Leo 47, there is a real comfort and security factor with this relationship, especially for Howard. The IC is our home base, it's our roots and Robin's presence is a real comfort for him. You can see that Robin's Sun, Pluto, Mercury and Venus also overlay Howard's 4th house of home this tells us that Robin is an essential part of Howard's family and she affects him deeply.

The next soulmate connection we see is that Howard's Nodal axis squares Robin's MC/IC axis. Her deepest roots (IC) and public destiny (MC) are intertwined with Howard's evolutionary journey (Nodal axis). Howard's Moon overlays her 10th house of Career, his emotional needs are in line with her career goals and this is another indication of deep comfort and success in their professional relationship. We see that his Sun and Capricorn planets overlay his 6th house of the work place proper, I noticed that when somebody's Sun falls in my 6th house they want to do things for me (it's a real Virgo feel), so Howard probably likes to serve and take care of Robin and Robin sees Howard as very useful.

Third, we see that his Sun is exactly sextile her Moon, and this adds flow, emotional understanding and harmony. By itself, this may not be that important, but in concert with the strong Angle ties and Nodal ties, it's the icing on the cake.

In this case Howard and Robin are not lovers, they do not live together, and they don't even socialize that much outside of work. They have, however, spent almost every weekday morning together for over 25 years, and so they are forever linked together in the minds of their fans. That's a really powerful thing and their astrology together shows it.
